I like the visual oddity a lot, but it doesn't quite work, because she's had to go out and look for him, and found him in the middle of the street.
Perhaps it could be, "you were supposed to walk the dog whilst I was out, what's your excuse", or somethign, and he's become melded with the fridge. That probably isn't as striking an image, though.
This is something I made as an experiment. There were others. My main constraint was the limited availability of characters and props in the FREE version of the software. This is humour on a budget.
It worked for me. I liked the fact it wasn't explained what had happened to him though it was obviously catastrophic - and his dumfounded look/response to her question.
