Just wrote 700 words of my novel.
So why do I get dragged back here again?

What's the novel about chappers?
I find I write less in this heat or feel less like writing, I may take the summer off, a sort of hibernation in reverse.
My novels about seventy thousand words.

you'd teach me but I'd have to pay?
Everybody pays one way or the other. For you it's not the other!

Get one of those apps/programs that locks you out of the internet for a set amount of time (I use one called Freedom).
Sometimes it's the only way.
EDIT: And, coincidentally, this link came up today on a blog I frequent

It's inspired by Leslie Thomas' "Tropic of Ruislip" and is about the lives of a group of people living in a cul-de-sac in Surrey. It's called "Bridge on the River Wey."
I've been quite good with this really. Quite disciplined although looking at it tonight most of it looks crap so I'm writing a new chapter.
I'm not writing it chronologically but jumping about and doing a scene here and a scene there. For me that is the best way and then slotting it in its proper place.
It must've been terrible years ago without the aid of a PC or laptop. So now I'm working on Chapter 4 I think it is. I've already written the final scene.
