The BBC seems to go in for a lot more weird news these days than they ever did before.
I guess it's not funny to be killed because your pet camel wants to have sex with you but, knowing you guys, some of you might think it is.

I know, I noticed the same thing. You shouldn't laugh, but you can't help it.

'One man was seriously injured in the accident...The other 10 were treated in hospital but later released. Police said there were "no findings to suggest anyone famous was involved".'
Thank god for that. Sod the extras, why did they even bother taking them to hospital?
They can use them later as war casualties - kinda like when Bill Hicks suggested using terminal people as stuntmen...
Yeah, as long as no one famous was injured - that's the main thing. 
There's an Agony Aunt column in our local paper. It's just gotta be made up, it's so bizarre sometimes. I might write in and say I'm worried because my pet camel doesn't fancy me. Actually neither does anyone else. Well, that's not strictly true, there was a dog who showed some interest in one of my legs recently.
I think it's not so much weird news, as absolutely f**king dull "real" news - when there is any at all.
The increase in weird and quirky stories is because its the summer holidays - or as the industry calls it, the 'silly season'.
With all the star reporters on holiday and the people generating newsworthy stories taking a break too it's down to the interns to find stuff to meet the daily page quota. The Sun's shark story being a prime example.
I've been sadly short of time recently so haven't logged on for months however www.fark.com used to be one of my favourite websites. Although there's a couple of serious stories mixed in, its basically a collection of links to silly stories. Worth a look.
