Just seen a new competition for a trip to the Edinburgh festival and the chance to put some of the material to the test! BBC AudioGO are running a competition where you upload your video of you performing your material onto their facebook page. The videos are voted on & the top 3 acts have their stuff professionally recorded! The best act also wins a trip to the festival, tickets to a theatre to see a show and hotel & travel up there

Sounds interesting and a great opportunity - but I was slightly confused as first they mention 'stand up' and then send your 2 min 'sketch' to...

Do they want a stand up set or a sketch?

I believe they want 2 minutes of stand up, the deadline is this evening though, I am trying to use the clean parts from my stand up act, which leaves me with an introduction and one joke, about 45 seconds!
