School Reunion Page 2

I'd forgotten about this.

The reunion was a blast but I knew I was on to a winner from the start by showing a few pics from the old days.

We started off at a beer festival (which ran out of beer by 8.30) before we all headed to a nearby pub which had an AC/DC tribute act. Taxis were ordered and partners called to transport us there. Seven of us packed into a VW Polo and as we pulled up outside I opened the car door to get out and had one foot on the pavement and one inside the car before the car started moving to pull into the pub car park. I was hopping in near panic for several feet as the rest the occupants (not including the driver) fell about laughing.

From there we went to the village's main haunt from the old days and it was packed. We even met a couple of others who had heard about the gathering via the grapevine.

looking back the weirdest thing was that well over half of us were either single, separated or divorced and a few of us had some very similar issues to deal with. A number of rather alarming revelations also came out along the way.

Cracking night though despite the rather deep conversations at times and I'm looking forward to a repeat come Christmas time.

First reunion coming up at some point this year. Never had any intention of going, as the only people I got on with am still in contact with. Thing is the closer it gets to the time the more I can't decide if I will regret not going or regret it if I go.

I'd rather lick lofty's anus than go to an old boy reunion.

Sorry about that. I was reading Mark Ravenhill's Shopping and F**king yesterday.

Kinky

if you went to school with Lofty you could probably do both, you could probably do both anyway.
Just give him a biscuit first or you'll get bitten.

Or is that my dog, I forget, hang on I haven't got a dog or met Lofty.
Exactly who's anus have I been licking?

Lmao!

Lmao!

So what will you do without an arse?

I can't imagine anything worse than my school reunion. I'm friends with some of them on facebook (after I had a cull and got rid of the ones who have grown into UKIP supporters ;)) and we keep in touch that way and will meet up every so often if we're all back in our home town at the same time, but when it comes to everyone else, there's a reason we all lost touch.
Hmm, I suspect this all makes me sound really anti-social...

My ten year reunion is coming up in next 18 months. Not really sure I'll go. I've done most of the things I wanted to do when I left school and I have job that for me is a really big achievment. Alot of the people I went to school with are now married/have kids or went to Uni and most likely have fantastic jobs by now.

I think you should go if you feel you have enough good stuff to chat about. Also I think you are right about people mellowing. In the few years after I left I ocasionaly would run into some of those who were a bit nasty at School. I was amazed at how much some of them had changed.

It ended up been longer than ten years but first high school reunion was today. In the end I didn't go. Decided that most of them didn't really speak to me in the five years I saw them everyday. So there was no reason to go talk to them after over 10 years.
