I know I've posted this in another tread, but I thought this picture deserves it's own discussion. I find this kind of overt nationalism (the way he's carefully laid out his empty beer can, dusty t-shirts, and his nice Ireland china; the way he's found an identity by living through brands) absolutely hilarious. It's like the poor man's version if buying a Ferarri.
I've seen Poms with shrines of princess Diana, football fans and religious nut-bags who drench their house in paraphernalia, and I'm sure us Aussies turn into complete arseholes overseas too. Has anyone got any good examples?
