Roscoff's got a few differentials, but he'd rather have a hot bath than slug it out in the league.

:O How very dare you! I've been rotating my captain like faster than Sam Allardyce chews gum ya cheeky whelp! To absolutely no avail however as Suarez just keeps on banging them in Angry

Yep, and he's a 'big-game player' so you can't really gamble against him getting points against the top clubs, whereas someone like Giroud you could happily drop if they're playing Chelsea or Man Utd.

Rooney's another one, ordinarily, though this season he does seem to be getting the same amount of points against the big clubs as he does against the smaller ones. ie. none.

Setting off for a very wet and cold Selhurst Park. Be good, all.

How was the game, Don? Good to be back? (I've never seen Steve Bruce look so wet!) :D

What were Hull Tigers new strike force like?

And how was Livermore for them? I liked him at Spurs.

Puncheon is going strong- Punching above his weight? Errr Good move by Gerry. I put him on my Watchlist a few days ago - he nearly scored against Wigan too.

Gerry and Ross, good luck in the Cup! Gerry, I see you're playing Banksie (sic). :D

And for those of you who think Adebayor is lazy, you ain't seen nothing yet. Spurs might be swooping for the undisputed champ.

(Not my work.) If you missed my post here a few days ago on the General Footy thread, here are a few more:

It's there for the taking.

The gold medal has gone, mate - it's in Steve's safe, alongside a Crackerjack pencil and the deeds to his head.

Laughing out loud

Not such a good night for me last night. Ramsey still out injured. I've got a few points coming off the bench with Rodriguez though. I think Lukaku's injury is the ideal moment to transfer him out. He had a good start to the season, but has been quiet recently.

I went all out to catch Steve Sunshine, I tried to be different, I even made 24 changes during my Wildcard Week, but still ended up picking pretty much the same major point scorers as him, right down to the Özil gamble.

He's winning this game by mind control if nothing else, which goes some way to explaining why Gary Hooper has ended up in my squad.

Steve's getting his tips from his fantasy scout membership.

If true, Steve is disqualified. "Cheat sheets" aren't allowed.

I used to rate Jelavic but he's turned to shit. Not surprised Everton got rid, the bloke is useless. A pie with no filling.

Livermore was OK.

Aguero injured
That's a bugger, may hold off on my free transfer till we see how bad that is.
I wanted to get my defence injury free over the next week or so
hmmm

On the bright side Toure is off & can't do any more damage

Here's your final ranking from the last four seasons:

2074599
1254334
2217792
708623

Here's your current ranking:

2377

Yet by your own admission you didn't know who Ron Vlaar was and you signed Ross Barkley for four weeks without watching him play.

Some of that was tongue in cheek
I know a bit about football, but am not that interested these days unless it's Liverpool or one of their rivals.
You don't need to have seen the players play to ascertain whether they are a regular starter in a defensively sound team, or scoring lots of goals, the stats can tell you that.

As for the rankings
I didn't even know I'd done that many years I thought it was only 2 or 3
I did the Telegraph one before that & came 3rd in my works league
And I did the Sun one a couple of times, once finishing in the top 5,000 overall with Cole & Yorke up front, If I hadn't picked Lee Sharpe I would have been higher, & I only did that because he's the same age as me to the day.

For these rankings
2074599
1254334
2217792

I lost interest & gave up during the season and didn't bother checking after a certain point

For this one
708623

I did put some effort in as the BCG thread was quite fun so I stayed involved throughout the season
Lacking consistency, but top scoring in several weeks

I picked a load of Liverpool or ex Liverpool players Riise, Crouch etc
And didn't change things much for the first half of the season. keeping a good few million in the bank

For the latter part of the season, knowing that I was far behind I messed around a bit making several transfers a week in a private battle with Roscoff & avoiding relegation.

I didn't really understand player value fluctuation otherwise I wouldn't have swapped Suarez for van Persie & then back again
Nor did I use many, if any of the stats.
It was only later in the season that I cottoned on about double game weeks & things like that.

This season I was better prepared.

I just checked the threads from previous years
It looks like I was in it 3 seasons ago & now vaguely remember finishing second bottom above Bigfella.
Not sure If I joined the BCG league the season before last but may have.
probably finished bottom unless bigfella was in that year as well.

Hey BigFella (if you're reading this), it's not too late to join this season, y'know. :)
