BCG Fantasy Premier League 2013/14 Page 50
Quote: Badge @ 14th November 2013, 1:12 AM GMTI now think of me being in a mini league of Badge, Chappers and George, or BCG for short.
And Horseradish.
I guess from that that I'm not doing very well.
You're top of the mini league.
Quote: Steve Sunshine @ 10th November 2013, 9:29 PM GMTInternational break now.
Will wait until the last minute to do any transfers.
Although one of the players I want will probably go up in price.
Remy. He has.
Quote: Gerry McDonnell @ 13th November 2013, 3:37 PM GMTIt's all mind games. To be honest, I'm still pretty confident of winning the clique league.
Really? You are one of the three players I check up on, but I don't think you'll manage better than third this season.
Remy was definitely on my radar.
But it was Lallana I was thinking of.
But I might not need to change a great deal at the moment if the people around have a lot of the same players.
I should thank Godot, his post about the overall team values made me rethink my tactics and by accident the players who I thought would go up in value also did quite well.
Yeah and my tip for Lallana is on p36.
If you're thinking it's not a tip if he doesn't do it himself my 'dead' keeper is Southampton which stops me bringing in any more players.
I know someone said wait until the end to do transfers in case of international injuries, but have you seen the way prices go up there, I think some can increase by half a million a week. So if you want an inform player to add points I don't think you can afford to wait two weeks. I think that's quite a clever little aspect of this game, putting rising costs in as a factor. Makes one appreciate the talents of Harry Redknapp a bit more.
Quote: Steve Sunshine @ 16th November 2013, 1:10 AM GMTRemy was definitely on my radar.
You've got a radar? Don't you think you're taking this too seriously Steve?
I haven't got an actual RADAR device, I should have made that clear.
It wouldn't work anyway, as all the footballers would just look like green dots on a screen.
What I mean is that I look at certain players I might want to transfer in at some stage
Then I read your posts to see if there are any tips.
Nice to see you back btw.
Now where is young Donald?

Steve does have his own special version of Prozone though.
I'm starting to look for players who offer better value for money than my current crop. Ivanovic is in because he scores goals. Rather he used to. Giroud also seems to have gone off the boil. It seems sacrilege to change a team that's doing ok at the moment but Steve 'The Boss' Sunshine is pulling way ahead. A do-or-die attempt to close him down before the January sales kick in. I may regret this
First job though is to strengthen subs bench which has been woeful and has offered little when first team players have been injured.

Snap. I've a couple of one-point wonders I need to replace. The first player to be chopped is Barkley, which makes him almost a certainty to regain his starting place for the Merseyside derby.

I'm dropping Barkley to the bench as it seems to be his preferred position these days. Schneiderlin in for him, for now. Thinking about getting rid of Özil too, Might bring in dependable old Gerrard for him.
Hovering over the transfer buttons.
I nearly bought in two Villa players. but decided to walk away from the screen before I did too much damage
