Hazard is worrying me at the moment. Seems very inconsistent. I was hoping Eto'o's arrival might help, but he hasn't clicked yet either. Mourinho might even drop/rotate Hazard at the weekend - seemed pissed off with him last night. But I suppose if the Special One can make mistakes eg relying on Eto'o, we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves when we get it wrong. Eto'o will probably still come good - maybe just short of top flight match time for now?

Opinions?

Did you bring Eto'o in George?

No, but I thought about it, based on Mourinho's usually impeccable judgement.

I was looking more for opinions on Hazard, who I do have. :)

I've discovered the ultimate team but I can't get there, without hits or wildcard, until GW7. Instead I'm stuck with Cech (too expensive), K Toure (won't play) and Nolan (Hammers can't score). How frustrating.

Make a note of it and keep tabs on what you would have scored if you'd made the changes, then let us know the difference in your two scores. Interesting experiment.

I've compared scores before, George. Usually ends with me contemplating a trip to Beachy Head.

Scouting mission?

It's my new rule for picking players - only those with a connection to B, Sea or G.

If you're usually right with your predictions, then why not take the plunge? :)

I've been left with no alternative but to wildcard. My squad just isn't competitive - no active second goalkeeper and far too many passengers (Walcott, Coutinho, Anelka, Lescott - now that Kompany's returning - Townsend, Wanyama) to get rid of in one game week.

I did read on Fantasy Football Scout that it's not such a bad idea to use your wildcard after the transfer window slams shut, so I'll use that as an excuse to cover up my ineptitude.

The longer you can wait to use your wildcard the better. If you can buy players who increase in value you will have more to spend when you use it. Gerry - who is a boring if consistent player (:)) has now raised his team value to £101.5m which simply means he can buy more expensive players.

The team value table reads at the mo: (end GW4)

Gerry 101.5
Shaggy 101.2
Rob H 101.1
Alf 100.8
Ben 100.7
Chappers 100.7
Steve 100.6
Splodge 100.5
Badge 100.4
Godot 100.2
Don 100.2
Dan 100.2
Radish 100.2
Ross 100.1
Oak Bar 99.7

I was doing well rebuilding after losing a lot on Chelsea and a Swansea assets and not buying Coleman and then Coutino went and got injured. Oh well, it's a distance race not a sprint.

No tinkering this week. Feels wrong somehow!

A rare Jimmy Savile quote?

Well I like a good tinker and in the true Lillywhites spirit I shall have a good old tinker, and I do not mean bugger an Irish philosopher, before you ask! Look what happened to Arsenal by being tightarses, nothing! Laughs.

Godot's table is good because Radish isn't last for once. Who, though, in the real world of football is the most dreaded dabbler of them all? Surely this is an important question for all fantasy football managers.

Clearly, Pellegrini can't get enough of rotating but he can partially be excused for having more resources than is good for him. Wenger would do but is constrained by injuries throughout his squad. Di Canio's first choice appears simply to be a public slating of his players. Mourinho is just uncharacteristically muddled.

By contrast, several need to be watched very carefully - Lambert, Laudrup, Villas-Boas - but even then they are arguably making some sense. No - worse in my book is Pochettino. He tinkers at whim. And the potential leader by several country miles is Jol. The extent of his dabbling will be shocking. Best beware.

Unless my midfielders do something this week I'm gonna have to fire their arses. Lets face it Lampard, Gerrard and Walcott are a bunch of lazy f**ks who need to get busy. They are also tres expensive. If they were 4.5 mil I wouldn't say anything. Ozil my boy you may be coming my way. No wonder England can't win f**k all!

Current best English scorers from midfield are Nolan/Whittingham/Shelvey/Berkley. Berkley is also equal with Redmond and Lampard.
