BCG Fantasy Premier League 2013/14 Page 25

I've almost talked myself around to ditching Eden Hazard for this week(seeing as he picked up an injury during the international break and is only rated 75% fit). I have a replacement in mind, but it's a huge gamble.

Not that I am a gambler but currently the bookies think it far more likely that Spurs will beat Norwich 4-0 than Arsenal will beat Sunderland by that margin. 18-1 and 25-1 respectively if anyone is at all tempted.

My gunners contact expects them to lose to to Sunderland although I can't believe that's possible.

All Mids are a gamble at the moment. hazard is one of the best footballers alive but I think he's useless as a fantasy asset at the moment as he's playing the ball inside too much. Oscar is a better bet under Mourinho.

I tried to start a conversation with Badge but he didn't answer.

Will you be signing Suarez when he returns, Godot?

Certainly will. I can swap out Aguero without losing a penny. It's almost like I planned it.

Nobody yet. I don't have injuries so I'm saving up on my wildcard, at least until squads settle down after the window and you know who is getting played regularly.

Ha, ha. You have totally been bitten. Great stuff.

Do I risk Sturridge tomorrow? He's rated doubtful. My sub striker would be van Wolfswinkel and Norwich are away to Spurs. Might be better off transferring him.

The amount of thought I put into this far outweighs its import. Come back international week. All is forgiven.

Laughing out loud

Nah, I missed the buzz last weekend.

What was it Shankly said about Fantasy Football being more important than life and death?

Lawro & Nicky Wire give their score predictions:

Silva has been ruled out of the next 3 games, it looks like I'll have to dabble in the transfer market after all.

Mertesacker also ruled out.

Don't know if any of you f**ks read the forums on fantasy scout

The articles are excellent. I like Scout because people actually suggest tips and tell you their transfers, which is the complete opposite of the secret, hush-hush mentality on here.

You can't go by what you see on Match of the day. They only ever show goals or misses. You need to see your man off the ball as well.

'These Cooktown saugages are the best bangers ever, I've eaten 25 of them, now I'm off to get slaughtered and I'll be banging crumpet when Baldy Charlton's got his kit on.' You mean that sort of thing? Quite agree.

I put RVP in, sold Aguero and (injured) Silva. And then had to put Hernandez in, because he had the best form (even though he got most points in a single week), but it was either him or the guy from Hull who's done similar. That said, I think Swansea have a relatively 'pointsful' next few fixtures.

Yeah but I think that's because they aren't playing in the same leagues as any of the people they talk to. If they were they'd all clam up.

They're also following each other like donkeys because form isn't good enough by itself to predict a result. You need to consider everything, from the referee to the weather and even then it's just an educated guess.

They recommend Ben Arfa and everyone's bringing him in but he's got only one point more than Giaccherini who hasn't had a mention. He's injured now but I've sold him and am very happy for 13pts from three matches, none of which Sunderland won.

RVP scores at last, but not from open play. Still not sure as to having him in the team long term.

He's a useless Dutch c**t.

Feel vindicated at not playing all my Chelsea contingent, but should really have considered Ben Arfa. Still, a couple of goals from Team GB (as I'm now calling Giroud and Benteke) can't be too bad.

Ten minutes into the Arsenal game, I was fearing that Ozil and Giroud were going to run riot. I very nearly brought them both in, but at the last moment opted for Van Persie (and Ashley Westwood from Villa) when I saw the words 'Crystal' and 'Palace' on Man Utd's horizon.

Agreed.
