I wouldn't pick Azpilicueta because I don't know how to spell it or pronounce it. (Copied and pasted from Godot's post.)

Seriously surprised about Swansea as I've got three in my team. Maybe jetison Williams.

Re: Swansea. Man Utd at home is probably their toughest home fixture all season, followed by away to Spurs who are strong at home. I wouldn't give up on them yet.

Based on previous seasons, anyone know how quickly prices drop on injured players? I have Foster out for 12 weeks. Do I need to sell asap because his value will plummet?

His price won't plummet, might drop 100k per round. And the 12 weeks quoted is just a guess, he might be back in a month. You have a decent reserve keeper, so play him and sit tight.

Equally, how steeply/quickly can prices rise? Eg Fraizer Campbell? I know the max fluctuation is £100,000/day, but could that go up by as much as, say, £500,000 in a week?

In theory, yes. But, generally speaking, players don't jump half a mil between Gameweeks. Especially ones that play for Cardiff.

Re: player values. I think there is a 'commission' on increased values. There certainly used to be, so if your player goes up by a certain amount, when you sell him, you don't get the full value of hs worth.

EDIT: yep, see sell-on fees in the 'making transfers' section of the below. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/rules/

Price is based on popularity, it clarifies also.

Thanks, Don. That's helpful and reassuring.

Just spent about 40 minutes delving into the transfer market.

Tempted as I know I'm going to take a hit this weekend Huh?

Cost me 8 points though.

Oh My God!!! Podolski injured as well. Time to make a change. It's gonna be like Rourke's Drift for my lot this weekend. 'Front Row Fire!!!!!!'

That's why I took the hit last week
I thought this week might be difficult for some

I wonder if Baines will be rested at the weekend by Martinez because of the possible move to Man Utd?

I don't get the point of two keepers

It's not difficult. You understand the logic of having a spare pair of socks, right? Exact same concept applies here.

I've looked and people are going 5-3-2 which only idiots would think is a normal thing to do.

Said the bloke third from bottom.

I'm trying Gerry's method of not making any transfers which cost points this season. Chelsea not playing this week has made that tricky, but I've pulled it off. Has meant leaving Wolfswinkel in though and I really wanted to be rid of him.

It's a good idea
But depends on what you've got.

I may spend another 4 pts in a week or two, but only if I think it'll be worth it long term.

Keeping the Wild Card for emergencies at the mo.

I wanted to do this also but Chelsea/Villa not playing, subs not on the team sheet and injuries have forced my hand Angry

It was always going to be a tricky week
What with all you Benteke Boys

Not sure about Lambert so far.
Their early fixtures seemed inviting, but he may be on his bike soon.
Cue hat trick this week hopefully
