:D

Looking at the table today (with one last game tonight and subs still to factor in), there are some pretty big gaps between places, and only two spots where there's a gap of less than 25pts.

3rd and 4th - 18pt gap between Don and Godot.

5th and 6th - 4pts between Ben and Ross.

Shaggy has sprinted away from me into the distance.

6 more Gameweeks after this. For some of us it's going to take a miracle (aka psychic powers when captaining) to climb even one place, or am I being unduly fatalistic? Is that similar to previous campaigns?

The gap between Godot and I is only 10 points or so, isn't it?

Says 30 now. As some bright spark pundit/manager once said, "the table never lies." :D

Well stone me!

Do you prefer limestone or granite?

Yup
It was the week to get Azpilcuetta in
And to get rid of De Guzman haha

I smashed up a bus stop before I noticed you'd sold him. Azpi won't be money wasted.

Obviously it's been bittersweet seeing a surefire double cleannie obliterated by Terry's OG. It really couldn't have happened to a nicer person. I say person - of course we all know Terry isn't a person.

The real disappointment is the f**kers who bought Rooney because they couldn't afford Van Persie the other week and have massively lucked in now that Moyes is no longer playing him deep. He even lets him take penalties, for f**ksake.

It's nice to see you higher up the table, Ben, but please don't go in front of me again with your unsold players that have been hanging around in your team so long they've come back into form.

Not a great week for me, largely down to a moment of madness I'm now referring to as LALLANO.

Might do some light tinkering before Saturday. By that I mean sacking Kolarov.

Right. I just played my get out of jail free card. I forgot to put Lallana back in the team after last weeks double header. Twelve points on the bench! However my dear friend Colback didn't get a sniff. Kerching :)

You are a cheeky get Godot. Who the hell would pick the over-rated over-priced and over-here oranjeboom swilling waste of space on his current form?

I thought Southampton might drift along with not much to play for
but that hasn't been the case, maybe the lure of the World cup is having an effect.
Man U might just be hitting form soon as well, need to keep an eye on them.
Not yet though.
Aguero is the big puzzle, is it worth the bother?

Rooney had scored one goal since Christmas and was very deep. Van Persie had scored four games running. Shortly after he scored a hat trick against Olympiakos.

Rooney's form wasn't particularly bad he was just playing too deep to be a source of fantasy points. No-one could have predicted Van Passive suddenly becoming a crocked and confused irrelevance and Moyes playing Rooney as lone Striker.

City players burn you the worst. They are expensive and unpredictable. Who's going to score in the Southampton game? Could be Aguero off the bench. But then it could be Navas, or Fernadhino - or Djeko - or Nasri. Or Yaya. Or Kompany. Who f**king knows. They score a lot of goals, but often they're spread out over the whole squad.

Blimey, it's been obvious for years that RVP is a crock in waiting - lucky Man U last year - and Rooney has clearly been in decent form lately. The perverse thing would be to keep the more expensive injury prone orangeman at the expense of the better value orangutan.

No. You didn't listen.

Don brought Rooney in on the 8th March after he scored against Palace. It was his first goal since Christmas. Van Persie had scored four times in the previous five games. He was playing up front and Rooney was playing behind him in a linking-midfield position. Before the Palace game on the 7th march Rooney had scored 7pts for the year so far, as against Van Persie's 30pts.

There was no way of assuming that Van Persie would suddenly drop out of the team and Moyes would put Rooney in his position.

I'm with Godot on this
Rooney must be killed!

Looking at midfielders
I had Ki Sung Yeung because of his cheapability
Looking for a slight upgrade in light of Barkley's injury

Only a few weeks left now. Glad I've done much better than last year.
