Hi Again, Just watched your sketch - I preferred the buffering...
Seriously, I applaud your idea and liked the abstract nature of the piece but would have liked it to have developed more - become more absurd. It felt like once I understood the gag it was stretched a little to long, it became a little repetitive. I would have liked to have been surprised with a change or twist such as a live snake being played or one of the players cutting off a finger into the pot. Something to step it up onto a more shocking level.

I loved the game which was both compelling and a true work of art. Not so sure about the more conventional frame.
Doubt the critics on pace. Genuinely. In this age of speed, the time is right for a 21st Century fluxus.
It must be a movement and it will need to be as slow as hell. Key objective - everything almost into freeze frame.

I was going for a story that would unfold and not just hit people over the head with some kind of "shock value." I think so many of us forget that even something silly needs to have a certain pace to it. Some sketches work with a fast pace and some with a slower pace.
And Playfull - while I appreciate that you took the time to watch, I think you have a different take on what makes a good sketch. It sounds like you should be making sketches that "shock" people if that is what you enjoy.
There is a place in this world for things that are a bit more subtle and don't just throw shocking stuff in people's faces.

Subtle is one of the manifold excuses people use when their work fails to tickle the funny bone.
Micheal it ain't funny and it ain't that original. The weird sports have been done before, nothing wrong with that.
But there's no tension, it starts odd actions with tense narration. And carries on through out the sketch. Before hitting a rather lumpy epilogue which doesn't add much.
I think you need to start over, if you're looking for other reasons people should funny try this list.
My friends like it.
It's been optioned by a major prodco I can't tell you about.
It's ironic.
It uses non western comedic forms.
It's super ironic.

I like subtle, a lot of my stuff is so subtle even I do not know where the jokes are (see my posting Zorg on showcase). I was just saying I got the joke early on and was willing you to then surprise me with a change of direction or something even more surreal.
