Anyone else a big fan of this film? I've just watched it for the first time in absolutely years, on YouTube. It was every bit as good as the first time I saw it.
Jabberwocky
Oh dear, unintentional old resurrection of Phoenix Lazarus' thread, and let's hope that are still about, as they may be encouraged to come back themselves, as their name doubly implies, when they see that someone has finally replied to their thread.
Saw this many, many years ago and last summer bought the DVD for 50p from a local (three doors down from me! How local can you get!!) table top sale.
Opening scenes had me hooked (Warren Mitchell holding a conversation while on the "outside/inside" toilet), but after that it dragged a bit, but then maybe that was because it was of its time, or maybe I'm talking bollocks, as it was a typical Terry Gilliam plot/film etc. etc. - my only surprise was that it wasn't out of George Harrison's Handmade stable, as it had all the hallmarks.
The Jabberwocky itself could have done with modern CGI, but otherwise a good effort with what they had to work with then.
Overlong, but well worth a watch, even if it was only for star watching - as there were plenty in this, including the wonderful Max Wall, sans teeth.
