Carry On Behind Page 2

The only Carry on film I can't get away with is Emmannuelle.

It's just *so* rubbish, not even I laughed!

Very true terrible film.

Eskimo Nell was an old favourite of mine.

Did comment about this 6 years ago, but now it has come up in my DVD box-set rotation, and I quite enjoyed it, despite there being no Sid or Barbara, and it's certainly funnier than the last one I watched - Carry on Dick.
Clearly (?) made on the same site as the funnier Carry on Camping.

I have a suspicion that it will be the last of the funny "classic" Carry On films.

Not really. It was the start of the end.

Yes I always thought it was one of the weaker entries in the series.

Who was the Gairman?

Elke Sommer?

Yes apparently she was paid the exorbitant fee at the time of £30k for the role (up until around then the male leads were paid the princely sum of £5K).

Carry on England was fairly horrible. Just dirty and smutty with none of the humour and sauce of their best stuff. To be honest, I kinda lost interest after the first batch.

That equates to about 300K in today's money, and she was worth every penny.

And lots to look at with Elke Sommers bending over a lot.
