The priest is interrupted mid flow by the arrival of four burly policemen and a man in a high vis jacket that has the legend 'Immigration Officer.

You weren't to know she's Latvian Joe and it's the third time we've nicked her this year trying to getting married.

We see the old woman being led out handcuffed as she climbs into the police van she turns and spits in an officers face and is then peppered sprayed.

JOE MUGUMBO
Eh careful man she told me she's pregnant

Another nice little sketch Teddy. I liked the twist, expecting the groom to be the bad guy. A nice ending as well.

I think this one works.
Premise & reversal are clear & the last line's a good pay off.

I keep wondering about the descriptions though, not neccessarily in this sketch so much, but certainly in others.
I think you need to pare them down to the bare minimum that the audience needs to know.

For example the Yellow Shirt, Blue trousers & White shoes.
Are you trying to convey that he is dressed Garishly or are those sepcific colours important.

I'm sure others can give you better advice on stage directions & descriptions.
I don't know if her being led outside & into a police van would constitute a new scene as she is now in a different location.

Does she even need to be put into a van? as being led away inside the church tells us that she's been arrested just fine.

I agree Steve and I am trying to do that, on this occasion I would have opted for saying Traditional Ghanaian dress but as he was a Geordie in the revel it wouldn't work.
You're spot on about the van though it's just that I just can't resist a police van and pepper spray.
Thanks for the feedback Steve and Will thanks for the kind words
