Ring of Truth

We see a really ugly hunchback stooping behind a bar

Above his head is a shelf of famous name Scotch whiskey

The Hunchback who is also deaf starts poking at the shelf with a broom handle.

Two gay men who had been arguing are now watching the hunchback as the whisky bottles totter.

GAY ONE
Terry love he's going to kill himself

GAY TWO
Frankie dear I don't give a dam

I can understand you avoiding the obvious gag, but you need to replace it with another, wouldn't you say?
Unless I'm missing something.

I didn't really get this. I see some type of Casablanca reference at the end, but I've never seen that so maybe that's why I don't get it. I'd avoid descriptions such as 'who is also deaf' as the audience wouldn't have the benefit of knowing he is deaf. It needs showing somehow.

Didn't get this one either Ted, but I do like the classic film theme.
