Stupid sayings

"It's always in the last place you look."

Of course it's in the last f**king place you look! If you find it, you don't look for it anymore! >_<

Your turn now.

I never understood, "what you dont know-cant hurt you" if there was a massive rock about to drop on your head, and you didnt know, it would very probably hurt in my opinion

Laughing out loud

If =I had a baloon made of lead, and was on top of a building, and I "let it go" of the building, it would fall to the ground easily.

You could describe it as "going down well".

Can you see where I'm going with this?

I do get that one about "Getting out of the wrong side of the bed".

If I do that, I burn my legs on the radiator. See it works!

"If you don't stop your crying...I'll give you something to cry for" ERM...

'It's better than nothing.' - What isn't?
'Don't look a gift horse in the mouth' - what is a gift horse? And what's in its mouth?

And what I'd like to know is why cats get such a hard time of it in sayings.

'Not enough room to swing a cat.'
'There's more than one way to skin a cat.'
'Curiousity killed the cat.'

The poor buggers.

Can't for the life of me remember why right now, but there is actually a completely logical and actually relatively sane origin to that phrase.

Is it something to do with Janet Street Porter?

'Not enough room to swing a cat.'

I was in the RSPCA headquarters last week, it's tiny! You can't swing a cat in it.

Laughing out loud

This is a riddle/bullshit that someone told me once.

'What would you rather have? A Ham sandwhich or everything in the universe?'

'Everything in the universe.'

'Yeah but nothing is better than everything in the universe and a ham sandwhich is better than nothing, so you should have taken the ham sandwhich.'

???????????????????????????????????????

You can't get anything better, whereas with the ham sandwich, things can only get better, although I love ham sandwiches!

... things can only get better ...

That's what Labour claimed in 1997, and we all know how that one turned out.

Probably the best lager in the world. Is it not that good then?
