Just saw this on the BBC website. Looks like the BBC's version of 4OD.

More like 4OD is C4's version of iPlayer, it's been in development so long. And, I might add, nowhere near ready.
I've been trying to use iPlayer for about three weeks now. If it worked it'd be quite good (would save me remembering to record all the various BBC comedy shows) however so far I've not managed to successfully watch a single show I've downloaded from it. It just crashes. The last time it crashed was pretty serious so I've un-installed it now.
Might be worth giving it ago - some of those that have managed to get it to work say it works well.
But, as Aaron says, in my opinion it's really nowhere near ready for public release yet.
Thanks for the warning. The archive should be useful when they start putting old sitcoms on there but there nowhere near that stage at the moment.
There are a few. If I can find time to watch them.
The stuff I downloaded started to play and then said I needed the licence for it, or some such thing.
Any idea what I've done wrong or need to do?
Need to wait until it's a more stable product, unfortunately.
