British Comedy Guide

Australian Comedy with a Yorkshire twist.

I'm a Yorkshire lad at heart, but I live in Melbourne. Australian comedy is in a class of it's own......and that is being kind! I'm a comedian and actor trying to make a few quid or dollars as it may be.

King Kong is coming to the Melbourne stage on the 15th June, so I thought I'd drop a fake audition video into the mix.

Tell me what you think.......It's always good to have a British Comedy Opinion.

This is how it went.........................

Ace!

Andy, I'm from Melbourne.
You need to take the piss out of 'The Project'. I've never seen anyone take the piss out of that show but it would be so easy!!
Here's some dialogue for you. I work as a mechanic, I can't possibly use this stuff, so it's all yours:

Tonight on "the Project": we tell you your opinion in a condescending way so that you feel good about yourself for coming up with same opinion as us.
And tonight: Is junk food bad for your health? Is harmless fun harming your child? And are vaccinations important? Would you prefer to give up coffee or your mobile phone?
Cat AIDS: Tonight we reveal all the weakest jokes that you've already heard on every other show, and try to pass them off as our own.
Sexting: Kids today aren't thinking about their future employment. We believe that if any potential employer has this sort of image you're guaranteed a job, and if you ever find out that your employer has underage images of you, you'll have such a leverage over them that it might just be the best career move you will ever make.
Interest rates: Even though, obviously interest rates are a product of the exchange rate, which is affected more by external factors (such as how other economies are performing) than anything else. And although the interest rates should rise and fall under responsible management from the Reserve bank, tune in tonight and we'll show you clips of 'ordinary Australians' (like you), whinging about having to pay more on their mortgage, and blaming the government.
