There's currently a film in production about Frank Sidebottom and his creator, the late, great Chris Sievey due for release in June 2014.
The film is being made by director Steve Sullivan, who is trying to raise funding through Kickstarter this month (May 2013). The good news is that the film has raised enough to complete it at its most basic level (which is looking very good indeed), but if anyone out there would like to help it be the best film it could possibly be, you should pop over to the Kickstarter page & pre-order a copy (download/DVD/Blu-ray).
As well as securing a copy (and even "thanks" in the credits), there are a whole bunch of funding levels that will get backers all manner of Frank/Chris momentos from his personal collection/archives.
If Steve can get to the £40,000 target by the end of May, all contributors will additionally get a download of a 90 minute Frank Sidebottom show from 2009, and a PDF of an unreleased fanzine.
It does look like the film will be fantastic, ace & top. Check out Steve's promo on the Kickstarter page, and if you feel so inclined, join in with the funding.
