Hello all. It's that time again when the one day course tells you how to do it and more importantly what NOT to do.
In terms of the many scripts I read each year, only 5% are in any way ready to to go to a producer. That is a generous estimate.
Those who send out work that is not fulfilling the many sitcom criteria will simply get a turn down, say, within, ten pages max. And you spent HOW long writing and researching it?
Of course we will talk practicalities, formatting, issues of copyright, YouTube, but more importantly you need to focus your idea and transform it from the 'nearly there, not quite' or the 'ludicrously insane' to
'Hmmm. INteresting. Let's see more '
How NOT to write sitcom is a One day intensive course in Central London, which will help you to do that.
Write to me via www.writingsitcom.co.uk to ensure a place (there are about four left)
Best
