Country and Western. And a lot of opera.
What music do you hate?
Rap; Hip Hop; the stuff they call R&B these days; modern jazz; and yeah, opera is mostly padding.
Reggae.
Apart from whatever early Ska was called.
Rap, Simon Cowell's manufactured fifties throwback shit, modern R and B, music for those who don't like music, most modern output in fact.
Tend to tune out rap, R&B seems very samey and tuneless, and some folk (though not all, I love The Fureys, Dubliners etc).
Country and western is well depressing, always someone droning on about being left for someone's sister or brother who was then found jumped off the Tallahassee Bridge or something...but Johnny Cash is an exception, he's a legend.
I like good rap like they used to make when the shops still sold Spangles.
But the new stuff and RnB is alternately vulgar noise or over produced tish.
-Rap/Hip Hop
-R&B
-music that is actually alibi background muzak for the newest trendy dance shit (Gangnam Style for instance)
-95% of Reggae
-old style Britney Spears & co.
-Britney Spears & co. that have become "mature" and now sing about "serious" stuff such as S&M sex
-so called Anti-Britneys who in reality are like Britney Spears only disguised as rebels...such as Pink, Lady Gaga, Avril Lavigne etc.
-Mallorca dance party shit music
-Music as played in "Talent-Shows"
-Latin music...but only if it is trendy and in the charts
-Lifeless ballads like My Heart Will Go On", "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" etc.
-Once great songs that are re-recorded with trendy new arrangements
Ice cream van music

Yep, there's nothing wrong with RUN DMC or Public Enemy. But There's everything wrong with the new stuff that are built around samples with lyrics that brag about how sexy and and rich and yet credible and cool the artist is.

I often find myself defending 80s stuff. I know there was a lot of artificial and sythesizer infested material...but it is overshadowed by my inexplicable deep hatred for the popular stuff of the 90s. I was a teenager then...I'm glad there were things like Pearl Jam, Nirvana or Prodigy, Beck and Massive Attack. Otherwise I would have killed myself.
I hate the music from the Titanic, come to that I hate the film, Oh how I prayed for that iceberg. Also that bloody Whitney Houston song that was number one forever, that bloody Robin Hood Brian Adams song as well, in fact all overblown love songs from movies that cater for menopausal housewives, granny's and sentimentalists who feel some ridiculous connection with this overblown pile of horseshit.
I think they are collectively called 'power ballads', nuff said.
