Make sure you have gravy with them!

Sick gravy is a contamination - they must be pure and just out if the (groan) fat.

Chips without gravy is like bread without butter, to dry :P

Visiting Oldham/Manchester I have noticed the difference in curry sauce from down here. It's more like gravy too, not you're thick, lovely, 'normal' chip shop curry sauce.

In Manchester we tend to like the Chinese chippy curry, best eaten with a steak and kidney pudding and loads of vinegar :)

Tomato sauce is for softies Pirate

I am proud to be a southern soft ponce.

No,no,no. Chips must be unadulterated except for salt and vinegar.

Salt and vinegar are gooooood.

It's all very well but what's all this chip chat got to do with dreams?

Pride comes before a fall, we are digging a tunnel and plan to invade with an army of mutant whippets hurling three week old meat pies! Cool

It's a lot darker and more runny. Less curry-like in my opinion. The Bristol version is more yellow/green, lumpier and tastes more like curry, to me.
