NJ Chloe Green

JUSTIN - When looking for a partner most people search for looks, maybe money - fortunately my wife is short sighted - but Topshop heiress Chloe Green is more concerned with column inches something she achieved when she attended the opening of her fathers new store with Jennifer Lopezs ex husband Mark Anthony.

F/X hustle and bustle of a busy room

JOURNALIST - Chloe, long time fan first time question asker, people suggest that whenever your father has something to promote you wheel out your latest celebrity boyfriend. What do you say to that?

CHLOE - My relationships are real. But I would like to take this opportunity to announce my split from - erm

JOURNALIST - Mark

CHLOE - That's the fella. I loved him and you know blah blah blah - it's over. But I've decided to move on and I have a new boyfriend, which is nothing to do with my fathers new store in LA

JOURNALIST - Let me guess he's slightly famous and he would benefit from some press attention as much as you? Go on then get him out?

F/X ED MILIBAND fanfare

JOURNALIST - You've got to be kidding. Ed Miliband? He's your new boyfriend?

ED - Yes. She likes me. Not in the same way I like Fireman Sam she likes likes me and it has nothing to do with me trying to make Labour more popular after that Eastleigh fiasco

JOURNALIST - So this is the real deal? Okay how about a kiss for the camera

ED - On the lips!? How about an affectionate wave?

CHLOE - He's such a joker. Come on Ed like you do with your posters

ED - Okay

CHLOE - Ed watch the wires

F/X Glass breaking and ED falling

CHLOE - Are you okay Ed?

ED - I think we should see other people

END

I like it - it made me chuckle.

I like the sketch and it reads rather nicely. In terms of NJ there's a few pointers I'd offer:

- It's a new twist on the Ed Miliband character so well done for that. But I don't think this is how they'd cover Eastleigh given they probably got a lot of sketches elsewhere on it. UKIP was the angle they went for

- NJ are doing fewer sketches on small news stories (I've no idea who Chloe Green is!) and they've said as much on some of the videos. Perhaps better to look at the bigger news stories for sketches but with a novel premise.

- The ending is a little difficult to follow from a radio point of view it seems to be Ed trips so leaps to splitting up, perhaps need to take audience with you on that journey. Or given the sketch he's dumped for someone more successful - Nigel Farage.

Hope that helps!
