There's been a lot of other comedy under the bridge since then remember. For its time it was really original and groundbreaking.

I hear what you are saying (Hancock still holds up though) and the later ones were very funny (I have lots on cassette), BUT this first two series are rubbish!

Actually now thinking about it, the early Hancock's that R4+ are airing at the moment are not a patch on the later ones with Hattie.
