NJ Car Appeal

Grams; Sad music

HOST - John is seventeen he has a close group of friends and a girlfriend, but all of that will disappear this Easter when petrol prices will rise again. You see John was born without a personality and was never very popular until he got a car, and when he cannot afford to run his car he'll go right back to facebook stalking and sitting on his hand until it goes numb. John is not alone Sarah received her car as a present when her step father was trying to buy his way into her family, but now he has his feet well and truly under the table he refuses to pay extra for petrol. Sarah has encouraged her mother to have an affair and bring someone new into the fold but to no avail. Terrys only joy in life after a busy day of sleeping and not being understood by adults is driving his chaved out mini metro to a local car park to meet up with like minded people who think it's a good idea to put blue lights under their cars, but now he'll have to make do with a bike and a torch. You can change all this. Sponsor a teenage driver today - they're cheaper than a snow leopard and they have more spots

END

I really like this idea and it made me laugh.

But it might work better with a few more characters and voices in it. Perhaps given John, Sarah, etc some lines to describe their situation so other cast members are involved. That might make it a bit more NJ style.

Although I can't remember a NJ sketch that's a mock-charity ad. They may have had their fill of them!

I'm not a fan of NewsJack, but I really liked this. The punchline is a great laugh.

I think Stephen's suggestion is a good one and would sharpen it up. Might be worth sending to Newsrevue.
