Tonight will not be the last appearance of David Brent.

That's nice to know. I do hope he doesn't ruin it.

What time is it on?

They don't give exact times.

Laughing out loud

I thought that was actually pretty funny. Especially the Trevor McDonald line.

David Brent has lost weight in 10 years.

I missed it. I was watching Hobo With A Shotgun.

I preferred the Brent's Back trailer to the Equality Street video. There's no such thing as musical comedy - see Flight of the Conchords.

Rutger Hauer. Quality trash!

I hope that Google thing he's going to do is as good as this was, it was fantastic. Very funny, both bits. Brent's lost none of his charm has he, perfect!

The song stuff was great, him cutting in to sing cracked me up, but my favourite bit was the drinks line in the pub. The fact the guy didn't look old enough to get the reference made it even funnier. Lilt. Laughing out loud Brent/Gervais you sad bastard, you're still hilarious.

Well... it wasn't the worst thing he's done lately. However, it did seem to be lacking something and I would like to offer my theory on what that was.
The Office had lots of fully formed, fleshed-out characters and their attitudes to one another were established early on through set-pieces such as the stapler in the jelly bit. this helped us to relate to how they felt when Brent did something idiotic or if Gareth was being a twat.
Unfortunately, this sketch was filled with extras and had only one fully-formed character: Brent. You could argue the same of Johnson, but to me he seems a bit 1 dimensional and a bit of a stock cool black guy character. In other words, he is cool and nothing else, he has no other personality traits.
So to conclude, The Office was funny because of the realistic, relatable characters and how they interacted. A core aspect that was lacking in this sketch.

I don't know how much of that you can reasonably expect to set up in a short sketch, to be fair!

I thought they did a high quality job of making it look 'Office' like but thought the title was quite misleading tbh. 'Brent Returns' or something like that would have been more honest. I was half hoping to see Gareth in there but no one else from The Office was in it. Apart from that it was brilliant. Very funny.

You are the worst.

So the woman he mentioned at the studio, who left him, I thought was going to be a reference to the woman he ended up with in the final episode of The Office. But then he said she was a redhead. Which she wasn't. What was all that about?
