I've never heard of Scouse...what's in it Teddy?

Anything that's the point of it, you put in what you have.
My version

Stewing steak browned in Worcestershire Sauce and a dash of HP
add water
then a dash of bisto mixed
Carrots
Turnips
Leeks
Onions
after two hours simmering
diced spuds
half hour later
Broccoli
Cabbage
serving
Spinach flourish
Serve in a bowl with pickled red cabbage and crusty cobs

Yum, wouldn't mind trying that.

A lot do and it has a lovely smell but you can only open your window a bit or your mates will knock and ask for some.

What makes scouse, scouse is the fact it has lamb AND beef.
Otherwise it's just stew.

Lazzard, Scouse is what's in the house at the time that you're doing it! Always has been always will be. I have never had lamb in it though but I'd give it a go.
Lamb for me is more Lancashire Hot pot.

Most Scousers will tell you beef is more common in Scouse

In the case of both Lamb & Beef, if you've got that much dough to be using both then you shouldn't be making Scouse you should be out on the ale!

It's also rare disease day. I think the dish for that is chocolate pudding with chocolate custard.

I can relate to that.

Sounds like Skip Stew . .
