Gervais vs. Coogan? Page 3

Coogan

On the romance bit, Saxondale featured quite a touching romantic storyline between the central character and that Welsh woman. And also I'm Alan Partridge - especially the unfairly maligned second series - is quite a touching portrait of friendship. In a bizarre way, Partridge and Lynne actually care for each other and have a very strong bond. It's not laboured, but they're are some really nice touches throughout the series in which they look out for each other and connect.

Coogan.

Although David Brent and Alan Partridge are total twats, you sometimes can't help but love Alan!

..and on that bombshell...

You make good points, sir.

Coogan and not because he got all jiggy jiggy with Courtney Love (that is right, isn't it?)

Steve Coogan - though I thought Saxandale was rubbish. The Office was not funny. It never was and it never will be.

To you.

No, it's wrong. Very, very wrong.

He really will shag anything.

So when's my turn Steve-o?
;)

I'm sure you're far better looking than Courtney Love.

(Thinking about it, it might not exactly be difficult.)

The Office was one of the best comedies this millennium.

just been reading back through this thread. How can you not like Tony Ferino- the portugese tom jones.

Watch his special, it's brilliant. I watch it at least four times a year.

The problem with the Tony Ferino character was that Steve Coogan he did such a good spoof, there was a lot of people who thought he was real. So much so that when he did a tour, it bombed because there were not enough people in on the joke.

As for me, well, I thought Ferino was a most excellent creation. To quote the man himself, "It was the bollocks of the dog".

But will it survive the next 993 years?

No.
