She appeared in Fawlty Towers as Mrs (Dr) Roberts and in The Black Adder as the Queen, wife to Richard IV (Brian Blessed): "I thought you were Henry Tulip."
RIP Elspet Grey
R.I.P.
And married to Brian Rix - so her comedy credentials ran pretty deep.
I remember her in Catweazle.
She was great in Black Adder. RIP.
She was indeed. RIP.
I will always remember her in the non comedy "Tenko" and the hilarious appearance in "dinnerladies" episode, Moods. Another great comedy actress gone but never forgotten.
She's a name I always remember but I honestly can't place her in any of those comedy roles.
Surprised Brian Rix has survived her though. I thought he'd died years ago.
And of course they are titled because of the work they did for disabled kids as they hada Downs Syndrome daughter.
RIP
Me being old, can remember her in the annual Whitehall farce on the tele with Brian Rix.
Lots of opening / slamming doors and toing and froing !
De rigueur viewing back then !
RIP.
I remember her best in Fawlty Towers, but she was also good in Solo. RIP.
Sad to hear that - she was wonderfully mad in Blackadder, one of the many highlights of that first series. "Oh Edmund, it's the lying I find so hurtful."
