Kath and Kim series 3 and 4 available in UK

Does anybody know if these are available in the UK at the less than eye-watering price of £28 each? And when I'm at it Da Kath and Kim Code also?

I've had 1 & 2 as a mini box-set for a gazillion years now and that only cost around £11.00 then, I suppose it's down to legal wrangling and copyright issues that 3 and 4 cost so much.

I know there is a full box-set (minus Da Code) but at £99-£118 on Amazon they're having a bleeding laugh.

Stop press - just saw 1-4 box-set on Play.com but at £76.00 it's still way to high.

I know that the feem tune was written by Anthony Newley. Not much help, I know.

Even less help, but it was actually written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley for their musical 'The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd'.

The slow death of HMV means that the goldrush days of everything and anything being released on DVD are pretty much over. In other words, I doubt series 3 and 4 will ever get a release here.

Not a fan of the show but I noticed the DVD box-set (horn-bag collection or some such) was occasionally on special at Australia's main DVD retailer JB Hi-Fi.

Unfortunately, JB Hi-Fi recently changed its website, so that DVD titles cannot even be browsed (let alone ordered) from outside Australia: "Sorry, JB Hi-Fi Online Store is not available in your location." The stupid f**kers. In the past I would browse their site and when finding something I wanted, would ask a friend in Australia to order it for me. Cannot fathom their stupidity - making decisions that lose them money. Oh well, many of their staff are idiots to boot. Almost every time I went into one of their stores, a customer would approach a worker with a request such as "Do you have 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'?" The worker would look under 'G' on the shelf and say "No, we don't have it in stock at the moment." I would then show the customer to the 'Western' section or whatever and find the requested movie.

Blenkinsop, if you are desperate for 3 and 4 of K&K, they can be bought for $15 apiece at Australia's ABC Shop, which does do international deliveries. International airmail comes to $15.95, so you'd be paying a total of 30 quid for purchase and delivery. Which is still cheaper than £28 each. But a waste of money in my opinion. Better to ask an Australian about to visit the UK to buy and bring over for you.

Doesn't surprise me. I've seen shows like The It Crowd in the BBC section. Just because it has English people in doesn't mean it is from BBC!

Thanks folks. I will ask a friend from Melbourne to get them for me at some point when he's next coming this way.
