Hi guys,

The problem here is that joke is over at the minute mark with the reveal, then you follow that with another whole minute of nothing.
Suggest you go back for a brutal re-edit of this, cutting it down to a maximum of 30 seconds and being sure to show the chess piece in the foreground at least from both sides of the table.
It is a nice enough gag (at least for anyone who hasn't seen a Zucker Brothers movie/TV show).
A number of people have said that, it's valid criticism and I appreciate the feedback...
HOWEVER we were trying to achieve a surreal vibe and deliberately dragged it out, the intention was to try and get more humour from the length of time that the game goes on for and the utter pointlessness of it. However we might have missed the mark with that and so it comes across as overly long rather than painfully drawn out.
its too drawn out and playing with just one piece is a fail
becasue its obviously not chess. If they had 2 pieces it would look like an actual game
sureal humour needs to be anchored slightly in reality and this aint
that said it looks good
mind you "same time next week" is sort of a punchline but a bit of a groaner
Like Bussell says, the main laugh is at a minute. Edit it down and you've got a funny. At the minute, it's dragging.
