What are you watching on TV? Page 54

Yeah, but then you've got to simplify to get the attention of the common folk. :(

I saw The Passion of the Christ a while back. Might have been last Easter actually, thinking about it. I'm not at all religious, but I really thought it was an amazing movie.

I liked it and didn't see the surprise ending coming.

Lol, very good.

Is Jesus Keyser Sose?

I am watching Jurassic Park III.

No Jeff Goldblum but lots of Allessandro Nivola. The yummiest man in the world. (Well, one of the official top three.)

I am watching Goodness Gracious Me, wot I recorded off BBC Four earlier in the week.

That the one with Sam Neil and the giant crocodile that killed the T-Rex.

I hate that movie with a passion. I saw it while working in a small retirement town. No word of a lie, a group of old people sat behind me the entire movie going "LOOK A DINOSAUR!" every time they saw a dinosaur. Plus the women in that movie kept screaming every 5 minutes.

Old people can ruin a movie. Look at Cocoon.

You just said you like the Passion Laughing out loud

I still don't understand this dying for our sins malarky. Whats that all about. He died for our sins? Does that mean if he didn't then God would have killed us all? Can we do what we like now cos our sins are covered? Was Jesus basically a holy Norwich Union quoting us happy? Jesus 'Yep i'll crucify myself and your're covered for eternity' Stupid religion hasn't got an answer to anything. I'm sticking with Scientology.

Laughing out loud I'm really not very good at Religion but I actually did go to Catholic church most of my life but it was a French church (it was the closest church) and I don't speak French so I really didn't learn anything except how many tiles were on the roof.
I'm pretty sure though the sins that he died for were the 'original sin'. The original sins being the whole Adam and Eve thing and betraying god for a tasty looking apple that god didn't want them eating.
I think (I don't know for sure) when he "died for our sins" it allowed for repentance. In the Jewish faith I'm pretty sure there is no repentance (or at least not to the same degree). In the Catholic faith and most Protestant faiths accept Evangelicals and Amish (I learned that from Kirk Cameron's website...what a nutball that guy is) you can then repent your sins and you are still free to go to heaven.
NOTE: I haven't gone to Church for years so don't quote me on this one.
