Anyone watch the Grammys last night? Stevie Wonder and Daft Punk, brilliant, have got into Daft Punk lately and love their stuff, very 70's funk influenced, thrilled they stole the show.

Anyone watch the Grammys last night?

I can't watch these things. The calculated glamour and the hypocrisy make me sick. First, I can't stand three quarters of the acts anyway. Second, the ones that are good have to play it by the sick rules of the music industry. third: the formula "high records sales, youth and good looks = good & interesting" doesn't work for me. Last but not least: If I want to see pornlike material I'll search George Roper's DVD collection for some gems. I don't have watch to Miley Cyrus doing her playback travesty for that.

I would have said similar had I not watched it but it was in fairness very varied, Beyonce the only one on there doing any saxxaay gyrating! Daft Punk released their own songs on their own record label and are very much their own musicians.
C'mon, they had Metallica, Paul, Ringo and Lyndsey Buckingham, hardly the youf of today, I was very impressed. Lord was excellent too, I couldn't believe she is only 16.
