What are you watching on TV? Page 1,855

I never got in to The Sopranos when it was on. I think I used to dip in here and there with no idea of what was going on, so I've decided to have a go from the very beginning. I watched the first episode at the weekend and quite liked it, but did get a little bored towards the end.

I does get a bit soap opera-ey in parts

A bit like Dallas with mobsters

Can't be helped though I suppose, you can't just fill every episode with people getting 'whacked'

I only ever watched the first series and then quickly got lost after missing out on the second and never catching up again. But I remember really loving the Micky(IIRC) character, the one who wanted to be a movie director. He was such a dick but in a good way? I can't remember exactly, must rewatch it again one day...

You mean Chris?

I watched it all, eventually. Really 100% worth sticking with, in my opinion.

Watching last night's Buzzcocks. *sigh* I miss the days when Peter Andre would be the butt of the jokes, not hosting the show. There's nothing different or interesting about the show anymore - it's just a gimmicky love-in, now. Ugh.

Hated that ever since Mark Lamarr left

I loved Lamarr, I really enjoyed Simon Amstell on it, and I liked a few of the earlier guest hosts, but it's completely unrecognisable now. Whoever decided to theme every episode around the guest host has completely mucked up the format, and the writing is just awful - not a single laugh from me in three episodes. RIP NMTB :(

The Adam Buxton as presenter episode was wonderful.

Meh

I'll 'ave you.

Britain on film the spirit of the sixties on sky +

Dear Paul Hollywood.

Please stop bigging up Ruby's bakes because you want to get into her knickers. Great British Bake Off is no place for your embarrassing mid life crisis.

Love,

Jennie x

I think Mary has praised them too so not sure that argument stands up Jennie!
