Yeah, but surely he'd be allowed to work freelance sporadically? I'm not an EXPERT in police work, mind...
What are you watching on TV? Page 1,779
Actually I can rather imagine him all retired and living in some windmill or lighthouse or something on top of the Broadchurch cliffs, all hermity.
And Coleman could come to him secretly for help with cases.
AND THEY COULD FALL IN LOVE.
Get it written, ITV.
Oliva to be "disgraced" Detective somewhere not far from Broadchurch (as I said before), like Tennant in this one. Retired Tennant lends a hand but is eventually unmasked as the murderer. That's my theory (except for the last bit).

No!!
I did love the old fashioned newspaper offices. Like a grown up Press Gang. So I hope they're in the next series.
Mr. slug was in episode 2 as well.
Champions League!
Adam Adamant Lives, they should remake this, but it would be hard to find anyone to replace Gerald Harper
Quote: zooo @ April 22 2013, 10:32 PM BSTI kind of want to watch it all again knowing who did it and see how he acts and stuff. But then I don't think any of the actors knew who it was either until they filmed the last scenes.
I'm still not sold on the ending. I didn't believe that guy as the culprit, maybe it was down to his performance. Also, what was the point of Will Mellor in this in the end? Poor Rory had a bit of a nothing role, too. And the reporter woman who came to follow up on Tennant's previous case seemed to more or less disappear.
Well the point of them was to be other characters. Other possible murderers. Other people that lived in the village. They can't all be the murderer!
I thought Rory's role was fairly important. Plus finding the laptop, etc.

I can't remember, but wasn't he having an angry shower at some point in the first ep, and acting all dodgy? So I think it all made sense for him to be the wrong'n. It didn't just come out of nowhere.
Actually, I think that was the dead boy's dad... Why do all white men look the same?

Yeah, I get that, but it didn't do much with them. Take, for example, The Killing, which obviously had a very similar set up; it had lots of characters but really properly explored and raised proper suspicions about each.

Oh, it wasn't that it was him, it's more I didn't buy his performance when he was found out. Fell flat to me.

Over 20 episodes which was overstaying its welcome

Nope, not for me; outstanding, gripping show.
I want more Borgen.
Storage Wars, why do I like this absolute crap?
