I think scientists study for longer, work harder, do useful stuff and don't get rich doing it, but I don't know any modern artists so can't compare.

For some reason I am watching the History of British Musicals on BBC4 - I hope I don't become a gayer.
Am watching Edwin Drood, but I haven't a clue what's going on.

Is that the one where BBC wrote their own ending?
I'm watching the sequel.....
DROOD WHERE'S MY CAR!
I assume they must have!

Oh, then it will probably end with Queen Victoria burning down as someone yells 'Masood!'
At least I might understand that bit.
Watched that, too and found it quite creepy so far. Have never read the book, what there is of it.
Am finally watching Hacks. It's way better than I was expecting! Very funny.
I'm loving the 'History of Musicals' fab stuff as usual from BBC4.
Freddie Flintoff; The Hidden Side of Sport, about depression among sports professionals. I have colleague who is trying to come to terms with depression; programmes like this can only be helpful.

I thought it was a bit lame, but the actress in it was gorgeous, like a shiny new version of Raquel "Lead Balloon" Cassidy.

I enjoyed it a lot; the script wrote itself, but then that was the point. Sometimes you can do no better by way of satire than just tell it the way it is. Great performance from Michael Kitchen as not-Rupert Murdoch, and playing his son I think that actually was James Murdoch. Funniest line was in the credits: "No resemblance is intended to any person living or dead..."

I quite fancied the young chit.
Hehe, the Murdoch son really was his double.
The lead woman was ace. And nice to see Russ Abbot!
I could easily have enjoyed a whole 6 episode series of it, it didn't really put a foot wrong.
