What are you watching on TV? Page 1,542

I enjoyed This Is England 88 although I could have done without the dreary post-natal depression storyline and the obigatory karaoke scene. And Misfits Man seemed to be doing his Misfits character to such an extent I half expected him to split in two. McQueen was excellent as the dad, though.

This Is England 88. Actual post-natal depression would be more fun than the post-natal depression storyline.

Surely strictly that should be 'in Misfits the This Is England man is doing his This Is England character to such an extent I expected him to have a girlfriend who beats her rapist Dad to death'.

I watched about 10 minutes of it before the bleakness made me turn off. I noticed it had at least two people in it from Life's Too Short though, which was fun.

Haven't seen it yet, but loved the film and the last TV run.

This is England

Frankly it's boring the arse off me tonight...

I may be wrong, but I don't remember Gilgun(?) being like this in the film and previous series. He seemed okay in them, now his character is just an arse.

I think it's been great so far.

You do realise the black guy isn't Tealeaf? ;) :P

Hahaha

Why does bloody Guardian woman, Zoe Williams, on Sky, think we'll all be entranced by her flaunting her big fat knees? Fancies anything in trousers (along as it's male). Somebody should tell her she's making an arse of herself.

I think this is Woody trying to cope with and adapt to the changes in his circle of "friends" (now basically his family, posh girlfriend, and boss), which leads to him coming across as an arse because he's been so used to a certain group of people and now he's having to tone it down to some extent and attempt to be someone he doesn't really know how to be.

Yeah, I know. He's being an arse because he's unhappy. But it's still being an arse on screen. And coupled with the dreary unhappy-single-mum storyline it makes the episodes harder work than they should be.

I feel really sorry for Woody, he's so unhappy without Lol and his friends and really doesn't want his new life.

Pff! Girl. :P
