What did you think?

George was always my favourite Beatle and it was good to see his career reappraised, although it managed to skirt over a lot of stuff with scant detail despite being four hours long. I'd like to have heard more about his Handmade proudcer career, which had a great hit rate.

Nice Lumberjack Song tribute from Palin at the Concert for George- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQOMxz-O7Sc

Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to watching Pt 2 tonight!

Daytime TV - what a load of arse.

I've been watching Horrible Histories lately. I found it by accident when switching channels. I think it's really well done.

I tried to tell my friend about it....from the reaction I got, there appears to be an age that you shouldn't admit to others that you like a kids show. Whistling nnocently

PanAm. Lots of fit birds in uniform but it still not doing it for me.

Frozen Planet...wow.

Me too

I feel cold!

Best thing on T.V.

Penguins FTW

I have a few fav things at the mo.
The Prisoner
Burn Notice
Carnivale
Lie To Me
The Mentalist

I am also going through all the old re runs of Everybody Loves Raymond & Malcolm in the Middle.

Have you been taken over by the spirit of Chipolata, Timbo?

Someone needs to keep standards down.

That's Timbo

Shame Scorcese didn't unearth this from Rutland Weekend TV-

I also tried PanAm and have pretty much the same opinion. It looks great, some of the performances are good, but the plot is just a vehicle for all that glossy 'stuff'. Nothing of consequence happens, except for the silly espionage add-on, which sits very uncomfortably with the rest of it. For example, I really don't care if Christina Ricci gets to see the president, it's not very engrossing. Also, there are too many flash-back scenes for my liking.

I see it got some rave reviews, so either I'm missing something or much of the $10million cost of the first episode was spent buying the reviewers.

What's more, I'm a bit saddened by the ongoing tendency of Americans to make these sort of spectacular productions about their glorious past, it all seems a bit rosy-tinted specs to me. It's like their overblown version of the traditional British boring Sunday-night costume drama.

Grease is on

Why did they pick 40 year old actors to play the kids?!

Anyway it's a load of annoying cobblers
