Has Alan Carr had his teeth done?
What are you watching on TV? Page 1,402
About to watch the thing about Christopher Isherwood.
Am watching The Happening, with Marky Mark.
Is okay so far.
Now 'The Tudors', bastard that he was.
Thank the gods Henry knows how to pronounce Boulogne and doesn't say 'Boo-loin'.
Yeah, it's clearly bow-log-knee...
Batman.

I SPOKE TOO SOON!
I'm not sure I've seen such bad acting, bad writing, and bad direction in a film before! Kind of funny to watch it though.
People should always refer to him as Marky Mark, just to piss him off. He's kind of rubbish in most things. He was good in Boogie Nights, but then again he was supposed to be like a wide eyed idiot.
As for M. Night Shyamalanananananan; he seems unable to make a half decent film anymore. Unbreakable was great, Signs was fun but completely stupid, and it's been sharply downhill ever since. (Never liked Sixth Sense either; if you know the twist, the film had nothing else to offer)
I just watched Devil and thought it was pretty good. Quite tense.

I thought Shooter was ok. But, yeah, he's hardly De Niro.
I don't think I've really liked any of Shyamalan's films. I just don't enjoy his usual downbeat, empty, slow style.
Marky Mark is quite likeable, and has been a some good films, but he's nothing amazing. The TV ads for The Happening made it look quite fun! People throwing themselves off buildings and all sorts.

I love The Happening. Wahlberg's rubbish in it, he's best playing ultra manly roles like snipers or swearing cops, not sensitive teachers, but there's something quite creepy about the film. And hats off for not going down the route of CGI hedgerows attacking, and aiming for something a bit different. Fantastic start, too.
Yeah, it started great. (A bit 9/11 with all the people jumping off tall buildings).
But all the characters made such crap decisions, none of it made sense logically - which annoyed me. And all the actors were so wooden. Even though they're fine in other films. (And why did the awesome Alan Ruck only get one line? Mental.)
But yes, I am grateful there were no CGI attacks. It looked pretty good.
Film 2011 - Submarine looks great.
