Quote: DaButt @ October 20 2010, 1:31 AM BSTA woman who was repeatedly raped as a child was raped again as an adult and her self-defence was so abhorrent that a criminal had to step in and take the rap. That's how I saw it, anyway.
Anyone who beat a rapist to death while he was in the middle of the act would be treated as a hero in this country and rightly so.
Where was the evidence that she'd been raped as a child? As far as a court would have looked at it, it was her word against a dead mans and I think it was pretty clear that the Mother wasn't going to come out on her side, and her sister had no idea. We never saw the actual court case, but I would imagine all that would have come into it.
Knowing this, the known, violent criminal stepped in to take the rap, yes.

Come on, the writers made it quite clear that she had been molested as a child. She had defensive wounds to back up her story and her friend did, too. Forensic detectives do a great job at this kind of thing. They'd probably uncover Combo's evidence tampering almost immediately.
DaButt you are aware Micheal Knite couldn't legally let KITT drive himself?

Yes the writers make it clear, but only to us, not to the police who would look into it; what evidence would they have for her having been attacked as a child? Other than her saying so? Especially if, as you were lead to expect in the show, the mother would not have spoken up for her daughter, and would have in fact taken her deceased husbands side.
Maybe they would have uncovered Combo's tampering, maybe they wouldn't have even bothered to look to far into what seemed an open and shut case, they were happy to accept what at first seemed obvious; who knows. Basically, we weren't given the ins and outs of what happened after the attack, other than that Combo ended up back in jail. Also remember that this is fiction, so give that a little leeway.

He's on the One Show right now.
I'm sorry but he really has got a punchable face and I hate his voice so I really can't get past that to watch him perform.
The One Show with Jason Manford & Michael McIntyre together as one? It's crossing the streams. The mad fools!
I've been enjoying Mark Gatiss's History of Horror. Being much the same age as him and having much the same prejudices (like him a series of late night horror double bills in the seventies is a fond memory) I have been watching with delight.
I have never rated him as a comedy actor, finding him very stiff and hammy. But here he seems completely liberated.
Just watching
