There was a bit in the last episode, I think, where he showed a clip of a karaoke dating game and then cut to him screaming "WHY?".

Tonight's episode was more pleasing than last week's. Doug Stanhope always hits the spot. The Shitpeas / Cunk segment is still jarring though.
Solid episode, and Charlie's response to The One Show clip when the meteorite didn't hit was very funny. My main complaint is that the internet comments were extremely weak. If they can't find quality web hate and loonery don't have the segment. The Skyfall discussion was a bit odd too considering the film came out last year (even if the DVD was released this week).
Didn't care much for this week's episode. Almost laugh-free. And they re-trod the Pope story, at greater length and far less amusingly than they'd covered it last week. You know, when it actually happened.
By contrast, I really enjoyed last week's edition. A few segments were a little stilted again, but it felt like a much more rounded, cohesive show - and one that had a bit more of its own voice, poking fun at the media and being a bit silly. The other episodes have seemed, to a greater or lesser extent, like simply watered down old-school Brooker.
"What are you up to after the rampage?"
Brooker is capable of summing up the mood of a story with disarmingly pithy remarks.
When is this recorded? Because it says it's about stuff that happened this week, but really it's about stuff that happened last week.
I like Charlie Brooker but this show really is proving the law of diminishing returns and ought to be named "Weakly Wipe".
I also can't believe someone of Brooker's standard actually resorted to a "vegetarians are too weak" joke, a gag which was already hack in the 80s.
Got a big laugh out of me though.
Some good moments; the loo roll stuff great, the meteorite stuff very good moment.
The pope stuff, old news and not the most original jokes.
And the old lady response bit was worthy of a much lesser comic.
And the Tim Key bit. I see him and think isn't there a floor at BBC centre going unmopped or something. That said Doug Stanhope was pretty good.
The film bit is utterly pointless bit of filler.
Isy Suttie was very funny in the Bond chat.

That wasn't exactly one of his best bits, but Key is hugely talented. Go watch him do a live hour some time; amazing.

You'll probably be surprised if you do. Best show I saw last year in Edinburgh, and bare in mind I also saw Kitson do two hours of top drawer stand up.

Although I thought the Bond chat was a bit weak, I mean Isy's thing about how linear it was, was good.
But meh went on.
Tim Key is excellent as Sidekick Simon and in Radio 4 sitcom Party. Poetry is always a hard sell but I thought last night's eskimo one was quite funny in a leftfield low key kind of way.
