Quote: Blissfully Ignorant @ February 2 2013, 12:39 PM GMTGood episode! Highlights were Stanhopes joke at Britain rebuilding its 1100 year old road system after the WWII bombings as a "spit in the face to Hitler"
That was a bit unhistorical, most European countries did do precisely that, but in Britain what the Luftwaffe didn't knock down the planners did.
Could not quite figure out the Stanhope stuff, whether he was mocking the British or American attitudes to the British.

Aw, he would never leave you, Bussell. *pat*
"maybe she's riceist"
Lots of great lines! Love Barry Shitpeas and have warmed to Doug over the last few times he's been on it. That guy from Pointless was pretty funny too, especially the red button joke.
Samuel L Jackson looks like Uncle Benn
Didn't much care for the discussion, although it provided a couple of good laughs. As zooo intimated, Brooker's at his best when ranting to camera with disarming sarcasm.
Stanhope similarly, some good stuff but I don't really get much from his contributions as a whole. Brooker's response when the VT ended was great though.
I thought Stanhope was better than usual, a lot of what he said rang very true.
I'm not a huge fan of Stanhope, but I don't usually mind his bits. That said, I thought his stuff in the first episode was meandering and pointless.
Stanhope was funnier this week I thought. Maybe it was the UK bashing that riled me.
Really funny this week. From Ian Hislop to Nicholas Lyndhurst, I was laughing throughout.
That's Marley for you.
I was impressed that he largely ignored the female journalist during the chat bit.
Why would you talk to anyone else if you've got Bob Mortimer in the room!
Pff. I wanted to hear what the lady was bringing to the table.
The food?
Boom!

Loved that. Brilliant web of references.
Also felt Stanhope was a little stronger than last week, but still would prefer more Brooker.
