Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe - Series 1 Page 11

Oh, that annoys me even more. I don't want to watch 25 minutes of repeats from previous episodes just to see a new 5 minutes.

It does indeed appear that tonight's show is a highlights compilation. How very disappointing.

And to think this chancer managed to get into your 'comedy greats' banner.

There was more new stuff than I thought. Trouble is it was all interwoven into old stuff so it didn't feel new. I did quite like the penguin stuff, though.

I think you'll find that's actually Alastair Sim
But the hairstyle is confusing I'll give you that

Highlights show after just 5 eps is a bit lame. I think this show might work better as 'Monthly Wipe'. Just have one hour long episode each month, then the whole 'two weeks behind the news' thing wouldn't really matter.

Nevermind, episodes 1-5 were on the whole, pretty good.

Seriously, is Charlie reading this thread...? Huh?

I don't mean to sound dramatic but that last episode felt like God pissing out the sun.

Ha! I don't he'd be worried what a bunch of comedy nerds and wannabes think.

Not that I branding people wannabes. There are some very talented people here.

Anyway, I like snowmen.

I wouldn't mind if he just did a 5-part series, but doing a 5-part series and padding out to six by doing a compilation is annoying and a waste of everyone's time. Particularly when the series was shit. I love Charlie Brooker, but something went really wrong in the making of that series and you don't get prizes just for working hard.

Yeah, I know the BBC is in a budget crisis but would it have really killed them to make just one more proper episode?

Despite my moaning, I still enjoyed it.

I get the impression that Charlie is quite masochistic, so the more negative we are the more he likes it.

Public school boy chancer. Jerry Sadowitz was bang on there.

Anyone starting a new thread for the 2014 series or do we just keep posting on here? Let me know - I have things to say with my words! :S

EDIT: F**k it, I'll get off my lazy keyboard and do it meself.
