Evian Thonon Gaillard - Les Roses - and what an extraordinary kit - are doing far better in the French league than they ever did when I was in Geneva. They were then simply called Gaillard FC. On reaching Ligue 1, their stadium didn't meet the standard so they tried for Stade de Geneve. Problem is that it is on the Swiss side and the application was turned down. So they have to play at Parc de Sports, Annecy which is a jaunt.
I choose Obama although Merkel is also quite impressive.
Neither now would be in my all time Top 10 politicians.

Not exactly rivals anymore...they were insolvent twice, almost bancrupt. So they're not in the first league ('superleague') anymore; They can't do Basel any harm.
