First Stand Up Performance

Hi - here's a vid of my first stand up performance....I'm through to the quarter finals of this competition so any feedback greatly appreciated!

I liked your delivery. You're lucky you have a decent voice for stand-up. Kind of precise and aggressive in a way. It suits the risky topics you bring up.

It wouldn't have worked if you had a wimpy voice.

I'm glad you didn't interact with the audience, as I feel that is well over-done these days. It's a cheap laugh I think.

You did good. Keep up the good work.

Try not to be too 'Frankie Boyle' though :P

Thanks for the feedback Tommy! Much appreciated.

Personally I felt the swearing came in a bit too early and then the way you punctuated the already risque material with "F*cking" quite a lot combined to make it all a bit 'thuggy'.

If that makes sense?

But I did laugh :D

Not bad, a few too many shock laughs for my tastes which will provoke an interesting reaction at some gigs, but the main thing I was say is stop playing with the bloody mic cable after every punchline!

Good luck though, a very good first performance, confidently delivered and some decent material.

Thanks guys....the "F*cking" wasn't in the "script"...I think it was a combination of nerves, and a couple of pints too many that brought it on in the volume it appeared (and watching back afterwards, detracted from a couple of the punchlines I think).....

Tony...I really don't know what my problem with the mic cable was....I just seemed to take an instant dislike to the thing and was constantly trying to move it out of my way :-)
