I am thinking of starting an open mic night in Tunbridge Wells next year as there seems to be a shortage in Kent generally.
I'm just seeking expressions of interest to gauge how viable a few initial evenings might be. I can't be bothered to read all the silly-boy responses so please if you're interested just email me with "yes!" in the subject line or somesuch pithiness.

there are a few nights already running in Kent that I'm not sure if you're aware of but, a few of them are:
Mel Harrison runs one in Tonbridge - The Punch and Judy (Monthly)
Nigel Adams runs one in Rochester - First Thursday of the month
Andy Hodder runs a night in Canterbury - 1st Monday of the month
There are a couple in Margate/Ramsgate and also quite a few I know of in Brighton which isn't Kent I know but, not too far away from Tonbridge.
Anyway another gig in the area can't hurt, just pick your venue wisely and make sure that the venue is behind you if not finacially then at least with making sure the space is right for you (separate room, good PA, lighting etc. You'll never have a problem getting acts to you although cancellations can be a ball ache but, you will struggle to get an audience especially a repeat audience if the night is sh#t.
