Poor to help the Rich.

In a remarkable turn around leaders of the so called " Third World Countries " are meeting next weekend to discuss the " The Spiritual Hunger " that is threatening to destroy the very fabric of Western Society.

Speaking from his home in Accra Ghanaian President John Kufuor said yesterday, " It has gradually come to our notice that peoples in the more industrialized countries are deeply unhappy and that an amazing 15% of them have contemplated suicide at some point in their lives. We feel we can no longer stand back and watch this humanitarian crisis occur ".

On similar lines Cambodian Prime Minister Samdach Hun Sen said after watching Fox TV's Reality show, " The Simple Life " starring the grotesque Nicole Richie and the even more macabre Paris Hilton that , " To watch these two young girls so obviously suffering with no purpose or point to their lives was truly upsetting. I actually found myself having to turn the TV off which I have not done since the Waltons hit Asia back in the 1980's."

It has been known for some time that money does not bring happiness. Jesus talked about " The eye of a needle ",
The Buddha talked about the " futility of possessions ". How many times have our Grandma's told us " You can't take it with you " yet time and time again the rich seem to buy into the idea that accumulating wealth is a good thing .

It is believed that Kufuor plans to open the conference by broadcasting a pilot of the new US reality show, " Posh and Becks ".

" If this doesn't bring a lump to people's throat's nothing will " said supporter of the project Malaysian President Abdullah Badawi.

" For a couple to be so spiritually redundant is tragic. When Posh pouts it is like a dagger going through my heart. Her eyes are so dead. It is even worse that children are being brought up in this environment. Imagine how unhappy they will be in ten years time. We must act now before pretention and soulessness become a part of our own society ".

A series of concerts will be held throughout Africa and Asia where songs from such artists as Bob Marley and Ravi Shankar will hopefully awaken the spirit of the " dead rich ". Books and pamphlets will be distributed around extremely spiritually deprived areas such as Greenwich Village in New York and Sloane Square in London.

Badawi added," We know we can't save them all but if we can save just one soul our work shall not be in vain "

Yeah this is very much the same style as the Hawking article. I like them but I don't know if they have popular appeal. As always my response is more jokes but thats my response to everything, thats why I don't play many funerals.
