British Comedy Guide

Christmas 2012

The BBC have announced their Christmas highlights this year;

BBC
The Royle Family
Miranda x 2
Mrs Brown's Boys x 2
Outnumbered
Him and Her

And the rest (to the best of my knowledge);

ITV
Panto (Written by John Bishop)

C4
Friday Night Dinner
Chatty Man
Alan Carr's NYE Spectacular
Big Fat Quiz Of The Year
The Last Leg

Sky
Christmas Crackers
Trollied
Mount Pleasant
Spy

Who will be the first to say that's a crap line-up?

Does that mean there's two Miranda Christmas specials?

Brillo pads!

As for the rest

Yaaaawn

Not exactly awe inspiring is it. Miranda, Dr Who and The Royle Family otherwise nada, hope I get given some decent DVDs.

The first one is a Christmas episode, I don't think the second is.

No. Both Miranda, and as it did last year, Mrs. Brown's Boys, return with Christmas specials in 2012, before a full series running into 2013.

(Although it does look like the return of Miranda may actually be the series proper, rather than a separate Christmas special per se. But then we're getting into detailed semantics that only I need to worry about.)

I think both Mrs Brown's Boys episodes are festive episodes going by the synopsis.

I'm guessing Peep Show will be finishing Christmas week too, not sure if that counts

TV is wank every year at Christmas now.

I'll probably dig out some Christmas specials I have on DVD and watch them instead.

Porridge, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, One Foot In The Grave, The Vicar Of Dibley, In Sickness & In Health, etc.

Even though I've seem em all a billion times it's still better than watching all that shite.

GOLD are showing a different Christmas special every evening in December. Royle Family, Dibley, Porridge etc.

Why the f**k are you worrying? We are all dead four days before the big day.

So long suckers!

I feel Christmas Day is quite disappointing. But The Royle Family is good!
